Who are the coaches?

The Jr. Wizards coaching staff is made up of experienced coaches from all levels, including high school, middle school and AAU coaches, current and former collegiate players/coaches, game officials, trainers and other basketball personnel.  All Jr. Wizards staff are subject to a rigorous screening process.

Will any Wizards or Mystics players attend a camp or clinic?

When possible, select Wizards and/or Mystics players will visit and interact with participants. Additionally, Wizards/Mystics coaches, staff, alumni, community ambassadors, and G-Wiz may also stop by. While we make every effort to secure active player visits, appearances are not guaranteed and are subject to player availability and schedule, unless specifically noted in the program description.

What is the typical day like?

SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE (subject to change)

8:30 AM to 9:00 AM: Campers Arrive
9:00 AM: Daily announcements
9:15 AM: Stretching and Warm-up Drills: Shooting & Ball Handling
10:00 AM: Stations & Skill Work - Team Concepts
11:00 AM: Scrimmages/Games/Contests
12:00 PM: Lunch
1:00 PM: Skill of the Day / Guest Lecture
1:30 PM: Individual Improvement Stations
2:15 PM: Scrimmages/Games/Contests
3:00 PM: Dismissal / Parent Pick Up

When is drop off and pick up?

  • For Camp: Drop off begins at 8:30 am, unless otherwise noted in the program description.
  • For Camp: Pickup is between 2:50 and 3:15 pm
  • For all other events: See the program description.
  • Unless otherwise noted in the program description, pre or post camp care is not offered. Sorry.

What if my son/daughter needs medication?

If your son/daughter will require to self administrate medication at a Jr. Wizards camp or clinic, please request an Administration of Medication form by email and putting Medication Form in the subject line.

How are participants grouped?

  • For Camp: campers are initially grouped by age, and by skill level after an initial evaluation period.
  • For Game Day Clinics: participants are grouped in advance by their date of birth.

Can they be grouped with a friend?

In most cases yes.

Please email any grouping requests to in advance of the camp or clinic.

If, after the session begins, the camp staff believes that a certain grouping presents an unfair or unsafe situation for any of the campers, we reserve the right to split the grouping up.

What is your refund policy?

Summer Camp tuition is refundable, minus the 70 dollar deposit, through May 15, 2018.

Game Day Clinics registrations are refundable up until 24 hours prior to the start of the clinic.  Note - any additional tickets purchased are 100% non refundable.

Day of clinic cancelations and/or no-shows are non refundable.

Are there scholarships available?

There are a select number of scholarships available for worthy candidates.
