JR. WIZARDS Basketball Camps teach basketball fundamentals to campers ages 6-14 in a structured environment.  Daily station work will help players of all levels improve and learn the core values of the game from our experienced Jr. Wizards coaching staff.


TIME: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
AGES: Boys & Girls ages 6 through 14
TUITION : $200 
TRANSPORTATION: Sorry, no transportation is provided. All campers must be dropped off and picked up.
LUNCH: Lunch is not provided.
WHAT TO BRING: Comfortable basketball apparel, basketball sneakers. Campers should also bring lunch, and a refillable water bottle.

It is recommended that participants leave valuables at home, as there will not be lockers available to campers.

9:15 AM: Stretching and Warm-up Drills: Shooting & Ball Handling
10:00 AM: Stations & Skill Work - Team Concepts
11:00 AM: Scrimmages/Games/Contests
12:00 PM: Lunch
1:00 PM: Skill of the Day / Guest Lecture
1:30 PM: Individual Improvement Stations
2:15 PM: Scrimmages/Games/Contests
3:00 PM: Dismissal / Parent Pick Up


Who are the coaches?

The Jr. Wizards coaching staff is made up of experienced coaches from all levels, including high school, middle school and AAU coaches, current and former collegiate players/coaches, game officials, trainers and other basketball personnel.  All Jr. Wizards staff are subject to a rigorous screening process.

What if my son/daughter needs medication?

When is drop off and pick up?  Is there after-care / pre-care available?

AM drop off begins at 8:30 am.  Pick up is promptly at 3:00 pm.  Jr. Wizards reserve the right to administer a $50 late pick up charge to anyone who picks up later than 20 minutes after the designated pick up time.

Sorry, we do not offer Pre or Post Camp Care.

How are campers split up?

Campers are initially grouped by age, and by skill level after an initial evaluation period on the first day of camp.

Will any Wizards or Mystics players attend camp?

When possible, select Wizards and/or Mystics players will visit camp to interact with participants. Additionally, Wizards/Mystics coaches, staff, alumni, community ambassadors, and G-Wiz may also visit.  While we make every effort to secure active player visits to camp, appearances are not guaranteed and are subject to player availability and schedule.

What games can I use the free ticket on?  Can parents purchase additional tickets?

The ticket voucher can be used towards the purchase of any 2017-18 Washington Wizards home game.  There may be an additional upcharge involved, depending on the tier of the game you choose. 

Do you offer overnight camps?

No, but we are exploring the possibility of doing overnight sessions in the future.
